Rosby Studio

We stayed at Rosby House in the Studio. It was very well appointed , very comfortable and clean. We loved being away from the madding crowd, feeding the chooks, looking out over the beautiful vista and tasting the Rosby wines too. So many little thoughtful additions to make our stay special. We loved the artworks. The only thing I would recommend and which may not bother most people is that the TV was a little difficult to watch but of course that's not a biggie for many. Love the artworks, wow what a talent.

Our first visit to Mudgee. My husband and I were after a quiet, comfortable, self-contained place in a country setting, but close to Mudgee. The studio at Rosby Winery delivered, exceeding our expectations. Gorgeous views, beautifully decorated, well appointed, generous breakfast provisions, bountiful garden, lovely chooks! The process of booking, and subsequent communications made for a smooth experience. Meeting Kay and Gerry at our wine tasting was delightful, as were the sculpture gardens and the resident pups. Wines were exceptional, and learning about the local wine making was very interesting and informative. All in all, a magical couple of days/nights at Rosby Studio.

Our weekend stay at Rosby Studio was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the property felt incredibly peaceful, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed for a relaxing escape. The studio itself was extremely comfortable and cozy. Everything was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and clearly chosen with care—high-quality touches throughout made it easy to settle in and unwind. It truly felt like a home away from home. One of the highlights of our stay was the unique, hands-on experience the property offers. We loved having access to the chicken coop and vegetable garden—it was such a joy to let the chickens out, collect fresh eggs, and wander through the garden to forage ingredients for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the provided ingredients were a lovely inclusion, and we made full use of them. Sitting out in the pergola each morning, enjoying a freshly made breakfast while taking in the stunning views and the beautiful autumn colours, was absolutely memorable. Another standout was the complimentary wine tasting. The winery itself is quite unique, with its artistic sculptures and picturesque surroundings, making the whole experience feel special and different from a typical cellar door visit. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Their care and attention to detail really shine through in every aspect of the property. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful getaway. While we stayed in the studio this time, we’re already planning to return with a group and book the guest house—it would be such a fun way to experience the property together. Highly recommend Rosby to anyone visiting Mudgee—we’ll definitely be back!

We had a beautiful family stay at Rosby. There are so many extra touches like beautiful bread,fresh eggs and bacon for breakfast. The children loved the chooks and collecting eggs. Really comfortable beds. Recommended for any guests.

We very much enjoyed our sublime stay in the Studio at the Rosby Vineyard in Mudgee. We would have stayed longer, however it was already booked out for the weekend. Autumn was perfect, with warm clear sunny days and cool nights for a good night's sleep. We enjoyed watching the Angus cattle nd kangaroos, and looking after the hens (AKA Henriettas). There was a mystery, however, with twelve hens we collected 11 eggs. Now, which Henrietta didn't lay? Breakfast outside was a real highlight, with the gourmet food and free range eggs, wonderful vista and eastern rosellas. And we arrived home in Sydney with a few dozen bottles of boutique wine in the boot. We will be back. Thank you Amber, Kay + Gerry for your wonderful hospitality at the Rosby Guesthouse Studio.
